the 7th of June, 2005 after a 22 day passage from Avalon
Harbor, Catalina. Paul Krier, Navigator Supreme, had been
here 30 years ago on the Schooner Rejoice and, sadly, he and
Richard Gelinas had to leave us two days later to return to the
States. They had originally only signed on for a short leg but
got Shanghied for the Pacific Crossing.
adding logs and captions when I can. The Marquesas,
specifically Nuku Hiva, are the Islands where Herman Melville,
as a young lad, jumped ship from a whaling ship and got the
inspiration for Typee. Also there is a shot of the bay that the
TV show Survivor used.
